Tantra & Embodiment

Tantra is an embodied spiritual practice that invites us to become more present within ourselves and life and is closely interwoven with my shamanic work.

At its heart is the understanding that our human experience is not something we need to rise above. The body, our emotions, energy, desire, pleasure and sexuality can all become ways of knowing ourselves more deeply. Within this work, intimacy becomes a way of exploring ourselves more fully.

When we slow down and become truly present with another person, intimacy can open into something deeper. Through being seen, allowing ourselves to receive, experiencing desire and pleasure, meeting our vulnerability and letting go of some of the ways we protect ourselves, we begin to experience a greater sense of connection with life, the natural world and spirit.

The body can tell us a great deal when we stop long enough to listen. We notice where we feel open and alive, where we hold back, what we long for and what we find difficult to receive. As we become more present, we encounter parts of ourselves that have been hidden, protected or simply left unexplored. Tantra gives us the space to meet more of who we are with awareness and compassion.

Our time together may involve breath, movement, stillness, energy, connection and touch, allowing us to explore intimacy in a way that feels natural and present. There is no expectation of where the experience should lead.

The work is about how present we can become while being in relationship with another.

If something here speaks to you, get in touch and tell me a little about what has brought you here. I can then share more about how I work and what a one-to-one experience may involve.
